For homes where nobody remembers the list
Tryck is a task app that also runs your home. I built it for my own brain, which forgets the list exists. If that sounds like your house, this page is for you. If it doesn't, Tryck works the same for you, just with fewer apologies.
Why I built it
I'm Otto, in Malmö. My brain runs at 11 out of 10 on everything: great ideas at 2 am, a sink full of dishes I genuinely didn't see, a bill I knew about and still forgot. I've tried most of the apps.
They all assumed the hard part was writing things down. For me the hard part is everything after: remembering the list exists, noticing the bathroom needs doing before it's a project, knowing what's in the fridge before buying a third jar of the same thing.
Sharing a home makes all of it bigger. The forgotten chore stops being my problem and becomes our argument. "I thought you bought milk." The bathroom only one of us noticed. A list on one phone that the other never sees. So in Tryck the home is shared: everyone sees what's due, a chore can go to whoever is free, and the shopping list and pantry are the same for everyone.
Get it out of your head, fast
- Jot: type a thought, press Enter, and it sticks to a wall of notes. Sort it later, or never.
- Ask an assistant: tell Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini "remind me to call the landlord on Friday" and it's a task. How it works.
- Quick add on every page, and an Inbox for anything that doesn't have a place yet.
The home shows you what's due
- Your home drawn as a floor plan. Cleaning colours it, green when it's fine and red by the day it's due, so you don't have to keep track.
- Give any chore to anyone at home. Mark it "needs doing now" and they get a notification on their phone.
- A tidy timer for the "I'll just do five minutes" start.
Food and money without typing
- Scan a grocery receipt and the pantry fills itself. It shows what to use first.
- Run out of something and it lands on the shopping list.
- Bills, budgets and subscriptions in a private ledger that people you invite can't open.
Starting is the hard part
- Focus: a timer tied to the task you pick. Finished sessions are counted on the task.
- Every add-on starts off. Turn on only what you need, so the first screen stays short.
Honest limits
- Early access: not open for sign-up yet.
- No iPhone app. It runs on the web, as an installed web app, on Android and on Windows.
- Tryck doesn't treat or diagnose anything. It's a task app built by someone whose brain works this way.
- Planned prices are on the FAQ; nothing is for sale yet.
