One receipt, five things updated
Most apps solve one thing. The value in Tryck is that the parts talk to each other. Follow one grocery trip.
- Snap the receipt. From the phone's Home Screen shortcut "Snap receipt", the Android app, or the receipt link someone else in the home can use. Claude reads it for a few öre. Non-food items are unticked for you at review.
- The pantry fills up. Each food item gets an estimated date, marked "est." until you type the pack's date. The freezer almost stops the clock.
- The ledger gets the spend, if you turn that on. "Book receipts and bills sent from the phone" is an opt-in switch in the Ledger settings, off by default. Then a waiting receipt is read once and becomes an expense named after the shop, with its lines saved. The ledger stays private to you.
- Prices improve. The shopping list learns each item's price from your receipts, so next week's list shows a realistic range per chain.
- Running out closes the loop. When something runs out it goes on the shopping list. Buying it again brings it back to the pantry.
And the rest of the home
- A chore is a task: give it to someone and it shows up on their page.
- A timer started from a task lands in the timesheet under a project, with an optional hourly rate.
- A missed task can have a cost you set yourself (non-negotiable tasks and missed-task fees in Settings).
Why this matters: you don't maintain five apps and copy numbers between them.
