What everything in Tryck means and how to use it — the app itself and every add-on. The guide grows with the app, so it always describes the Tryck you're using.
The basics
Tryck (Swedish for pressure, push, the press of a button) used to be called Duly. Your data, sign-in and address are unchanged. The icon is the switch in its on position, and the slogan is “Press on.” In Settings → Missed-task fees the switch says “Press on” when it is on and “Not yet” when it is off. The old name still shows up in a few file names (the Windows installer, the Android package) until those apps are rebuilt.
Tasks
A task has a title, notes, a due date (with an optional time and length), a priority (none, low, medium, high — the flag colours), tags and subtasks. Click a task to open its panel; everything about it is changed there.
Quick add: the box at the top of every list understands plain words: a date ("fri", "tomorrow", "3pm"), !h / !m / !l for priority, #tag, and ^list to send it to another list. N opens an add box from any view.
Rename in place: double-click a task's title in any list and it becomes a field right there. Enter or clicking away saves, Escape backs out, and the toast's Undo takes it back.
Your own order: Sort → My order shows a list as one flat, draggable list. Drag a task just above or below another with the mouse — or press and hold it on the phone until it lifts, then slide — and it stays where you put it, on every device. A still press-and-hold opens the row's menu when you let go, as always.
Drop a task on a task: in any sort, drag one task right onto another and it folds in as a subtask — its own checklist comes along as "Task › item" lines and its notes land in the parent's notes. Its date, reminders and repeat are let go, so the toast's Undo brings the task back whole if that's not what you meant. (A subtask can go the other way with "Turn into a task".)
Swipe for actions: on the phone, swipe a task row left and a tray slides in over its right end with Tomorrow, Skip (a repeating task: the next one comes up) or Drop (a one-off), More (the full right-click menu: move to a list, tags, date…) and Remove. The list itself never moves, and a vertical swipe still scrolls. With a mouse, hover a row and press the ⋯ button at its right end; Esc closes the tray. Every action shows a toast with Undo. Completing is still the checkmark.
Subtasks (checklist items) have their own priority (!h while typing, or the flag). Right-click one (press and hold on the phone) to prioritise it, star it into today's top 3, turn it into its own task, reorder or delete it. A step like "wait 30m" starts a visible wait timer. In the list, drag a subtask's row just above or below a sibling — with the mouse, or press and hold on the phone until it lifts — to reorder it inside its own checklist (in the open task's panel, the item menu's Move up/down does the same).
Pictures: an open task has a Pictures block under the notes. Add with the tile, drop an image file on the panel, or paste a copied screenshot with Ctrl+V. Thumbnails open full size; the viewer's trash deletes (undoable). Pictures stay on that device only — they are never uploaded or synced.
Non-negotiables: right-click a task and pick Make it non-negotiable (the same entry takes it away again), or use the If missed row in the open task, which also sets the penalty. Non-negotiable means: red on every list with a "Must" chip. Set what a miss costs (free text; "$1 to the jar" unless you change it) and, if you live with someone, who gets told. Miss its day and the penalty lands in the jar on Today — dollar penalties add up, other punishments are listed, and "Settled up" empties it once you've paid up. Out of the box the jar is honor-system; Missed-task fees (Settings) can make the money penalties genuinely charge your card — see Settings below.
Waiting on someone: the Waiting on someone button in the task panel marks a task as waiting (who, and when to chase). Waiting tasks gather in the Waiting on view, show an hourglass chip, and completing one that's still waiting asks first.
Repeats: a repeating task moves to its next date when completed, keeping a finished copy. "Skip this one" jumps a time; the missed-repeats bar on Today clears leftovers.
Links in titles, notes and subtasks are clickable; notes show as text until you click to edit.
Search:Ctrl+F or / (the magnifier on the phone) searches titles, notes, subtasks, tags, lists and who a task waits on.
Undo: nearly everything can be taken back — Ctrl+Z, the toast's Undo, or the floating Undo button on the phone. Undo belongs to the page you are on: Plan, Tasks, Habits and the rest each keep their own, and the floating button lets go of a change after two minutes (Ctrl+Z still reaches it).
Lists are coloured, can have tabs (sections), and can be reordered. Drag a task onto a list to move it; drag the rail icons into your own order.
Today
Today's top 3: three slots above the list. With nothing starred yet it is one line, "Star up to 3 tasks to pin them here"; its Add one button opens the slots. Type straight into an empty slot to add a starred task, or right-click a task or subtask → "Add to today's top 3". Ticking works right in the slot.
Morning routine: right-click a task → "Show as my morning routine" pins it on top of Today with its steps open until it's done. A repeating one returns next time.
The jar: when a non-negotiable is missed, a fold-out block appears here with every miss, what each one costs, and "Settled up" to empty it (undoable).
Missed repeats bar: repeating tasks left from earlier days show "Missed repeats ... Clear them?"; Clear moves each to its next time in one tap, and medium and high priority ones stay. Click the logo at the top of the side rail to switch between light and dark; the theme fades over a quarter of a second and the switch in the logo slides, even if Windows animations are off. A reminder card can be swiped sideways to dismiss it, the same as its x button.
Late nights: your day ends at 4 AM (Settings → Display and day), not midnight. Working at 1 AM, Tryck counts the day before, and asks which day you mean only when it matters.
Where Tryck opens: Settings → Display and day → "Open Tryck on". Auto (the default) counts the page you spend the most time on each time you open Tryck, and after five openings in the last two weeks it starts on your most-used page; until then it opens where you left off (Tasks the first time). Pick a page instead and Tryck always opens there. It only chooses when Tryck opens, never while you use it, and a shortcut, notification or link still opens its own page. The choice follows your account to every device.
Splash screen: whenever a Tryck page opens or reloads (Tryck itself, Shopping, Pantry, Ledger, Chores, the portal and the rest) it first shows a dictionary entry for the word “tryck”. The first time on a device you get the full entry for about 3 seconds: the word, how it is said, and what it means in Swedish (pressure, print, a press of a button) and here. After that, every page shows a compact version for about half a second: just the word, how it is said and what kind of word it is. Tap, click or press Esc, Enter or space to skip either one; the page is loading behind it the whole time, so it never delays anything and it works offline. It plays even if your device asks for reduced motion, like the rest of Tryck’s animation. Pages inside Tryck (the Ledger tab and so on) do not show a second one; Ledger shows it only if its numbers take more than a third of a second to arrive. To turn it off, Settings → This device → Splash screen; the choice is kept on that device only.
One look on every page: the light or dark choice (the logo at the top of the side rail) is followed by every Tryck page, the add-ons, this guide and the phone-connect page included. Across the add-ons, a solid orange button marks the view you are on (Month / Overview, Plan / Furniture / To do, List / Kitchen) and a soft orange chip marks a filter (Fridge, a room, a person). Every control shows a clear orange ring when you move to it with the keyboard, and on a phone every button is at least a fingertip (44 px) tall.
Motion: Settings → Display and day → "Motion". Full (the default) plays a few short celebrations: the box ticks and the row slides away when you complete a task, a small spark burst when you finish the last open task on a page, a soft glow on a habit when today's goal is met, a pulse and a note at a 7, 30, 100 or 365-day streak, and a glow on the focus ring (plus a few seconds of "Session done" in the tab title) when a focus session or break ends. Calm keeps only short fades, with no movement or bursts. Off stops all transitions and celebrations, including the logo's light/dark switch. Tryck uses your choice even if your device asks for reduced motion, and it follows your account to every device.
Achievements: Settings → Progress. Fifteen quiet milestones read from what Tryck already keeps: your first task, 100 and 1,000 tasks, a task finished a month or more overdue, a day with nothing overdue, your first habit check, a habit kept 7, 30 or 100 days in a row, a full Monday-to-Sunday week of every scheduled habit, a month with every habit done on 20 or more days, 30 days without a slip on a quit habit, 7 non-negotiables kept in a row, a kept non-negotiable the day after a missed one, and 10 hours of focus. The list shows the ones you have with the date, and the next one in each group with what it takes. When one unlocks a small badge shows at the top for a few seconds (Motion Full: it slides in; Calm: it fades; Off: a line at the bottom instead). The first time you open this version, what your past use already earned is recorded without a badge each, and one line says how many. Achievements follow your account, nobody else in the home sees them, and the switch at the top of Progress hides the list and the badges.
Views
Import (Settings → Account and data): bring in a TickTick backup (CSV); importing the same file twice skips tasks already brought in. Task panel: Non-negotiable and Speedrun now explain themselves in a line of text.
Download my data / Delete my account (Settings → Account and data): Download gives you everything Tryck keeps as one JSON file (tasks, notes, habits, settings, receipts; passwords, keys and sign-in sessions are left out). Delete asks for your password and the word DELETE, then erases everything on the server for good, including a saved card at Stripe, and signs you out. Download first: it cannot be undone.
Health data consent (Settings → Add-ons): Phone health and Workout app link keep health data (sleep, heart rate, steps, workouts), so their switches first ask for your explicit consent: a box that starts unticked, and nothing turns on until you tick it. A Withdraw button appears under the switches; withdrawing switches both add-ons off. The date you consented is kept with your settings. Add-ons that were already on before this existed show a Record my consent button.
Today / Next 7 days / Inbox / Waiting on / lists: the task lists themselves. Today, Next 7 days, Inbox and Waiting on are at the top of the side menu; on a phone they are the first chips of the strip under the big date, and with the side menu hidden on a computer they show as tabs there instead, so each shows once (you can drop a task on them to move it there); your lists and tags are below them in the side menu, with "All", "Completed" and "Dropped" (tasks you gave up on) at the bottom. Each task is two lines: the title, then its date, list and badges. On Today, the top 3 sits first, as a card with big numbers. Click a task and its details slide in over the right side of the list; Esc or the cross closes them.
Plan, moving and resizing: a block moves or changes length only after you have selected it: on a phone tap once to select (it gets an outline and a bottom handle), tap again to open it, press and hold to lift it. Until then touching a block just scrolls. Finished blocks sit under live ones, so a live block is always the one you hit.
Plan: one tab, three looks (Week, Day, Month). Week is a time-blocked week (blocks are a soft tint of the list colour with a solid edge in it, and titles wrap to two lines when the block is tall enough): timed tasks sit at their time, dated ones are fitted into your work hours (Top 3 first). The grid runs from an hour before your first block to an hour after your last (your work hours at least), so an event in the middle of the night widens it by itself; the clock button has a "Full 24 h" switch to show the whole day. Day is one day's schedule with its unscheduled tasks beside it; drag to move or resize. Month is the calendar with a busy-day heatmap. "New event" adds a block and pushes others aside. The Plan header (title, dates, arrows, Week/Day/Month) stays at the top while the grid scrolls, and opening Plan scrolls the grid to your work start or the hour before now. On a phone the arrows step the shown day (1d) or days (3d). After midnight and before your day ends (4 AM unless you changed it), a line says "Day ends at 4 AM: showing … as today until then".
Menu (left bar, phone bar): on a computer the left bar has two groups: Core (Tasks, Plan, Matrix, Focus, Habits, Jot) and, under a thin line marked Life, the add-on pages. Drag to reorder inside a group. On a phone the bottom bar holds up to five pages of your choice, then More. Until you change it, they are Tasks, Plan and the next two pages in your menu order. More opens a sheet with every other page, Settings and Refresh; tap outside it or press Esc to close it. While you are on a page from More, the More button is marked. Choose the pages: press and hold a page in the bar or under More; a small menu offers Add to bottom bar, Remove from bottom bar, Move left and Move right (hold, slide and let go also reorders the bar). Settings → Display and day → Customise bottom bar is the same as a list with tick boxes and arrows, for keyboard and screen readers; Reset bar brings back the default. Settings always stays under More. The choice follows you to your other phones and the Android app. A page whose add-on is off never shows.
Every page has the same frame (section labels are all one quiet sentence-case style, and lists have a folder icon): the title in the same place and size with an optional line under it, tools on the right, and the content starting at the same left edge.
Matrix: always the real Eisenhower 2x2, on a computer and on a phone: Urgent and Not urgent across the top, Important and Not important down the side, and the four boxes (Do now in the accent colour, Schedule, Hand off, Drop) fill the window height, so the page itself never scrolls. Each box shows only as many tasks as fit it (never fewer than 3) and a +N more button at its bottom. Press it, or on a phone tap the box's heading, to show the rest in place: that box grows and scrolls inside itself while the others shrink but stay in view; Show fewer folds it back. Tasks are one list per box in date order. Drag a task onto another box to change its priority (on a phone press and hold a task until it lifts, then drag it onto a box). On a phone the rows are compact with the titles cut short; tap one to open the task. The + on a box adds a task straight into it.
Deep work (Focus → the Deep work tab): make a plan beforehand: a name, the steps in the order you will do them (type them, or import a task's checklist), an optional length (30 to 180 min, a soft chime at the end, the run goes on), and switches for keeping Tryck quiet and the screen on. Start shows one full-screen step and one button, Done, next; Stuck, next parks the step for the end, nothing can be reordered mid-run, and a one-line box jots a stray thought onto your Jot wall. While it runs Tryck is quiet on this device: reminders wait (the same hold as Do not disturb), but a Must (non-negotiable) task still rings. When the steps are handled, or you press End session, you get a summary (steps done, time, the reminders that waited, a button to put the unfinished steps into a task); the session counts toward your focus minutes and, with the Time add-on, the timesheet. Imported steps are ticked in the source task as you go (switch off in the plan). The quick way in: right-click (or long-press) a task with open checklist items and pick Deep work with its checklist; Tryck makes the plan from the open items (made again from the current items if it already has one) and takes you to the Deep work tab to press Start. The Deep work tab also opens from a bookmark to /#deepwork, and from the Android app with duly://go/deepwork. Push notifications for reminders are held too (on every device) while a run is on, Must tasks excepted; they go out when the run ends, or when its 12-hour safety limit passes, and the summary names them. In Tryck for Android 4.2 a plan also has Also put this phone on Do Not Disturb: press Allow it in Android (once), which opens Android's own Do Not Disturb access page where you switch Tryck on (Tryck never grants itself). During the run the phone is on priority only (alarms and the contacts Android lets through still ring), and when you finish it goes back to how it was; if you had changed it by hand meanwhile, Tryck leaves it alone, and a safety timer puts it back a few minutes after the planned end if the app is closed.
Focus: a pomodoro-style timer tied to a task you pick by searching (type part of its title or list, or leave it on no task; the × clears it); finished sessions are counted on the task (and logged as time when the Time add-on runs).
Jot: one place to empty your head. Type, press Enter (on a phone the keyboard's Enter does the same), and the thought sticks to a wall of post-it notes. Notes are pulled around by grabbing them anywhere; to edit one, double-click it or click its text, and leave the box (click elsewhere, Esc or Ctrl+Enter) to put it back. A jot can become a task (first line the title, the rest the notes) or be thrown away, both undoable. A thrown-away jot goes to the Trash (button at the top, with a count) and waits there 30 days: Restore puts it back on the wall, in its old group if that still exists. Empty trash is the only way a jot is really deleted, and it asks twice (press again within 7 seconds). Drag a jot onto the Trash bar that appears at the bottom while you drag (mouse, or press and hold on a phone, then slide); a toast offers Undo and it waits in the Trash like any thrown-away jot. List | Board (top right) switches how the wall looks, per account: the Board puts every jot on a free canvas where you drag a card anywhere (mouse: grab and move; phone: press and hold, then slide, a swipe still scrolls; keyboard: focus a card and use the arrow keys, Shift for bigger steps). Positions are saved and follow you to every device. Cards may overlap: a card dropped on another stays where you drop it, and the card you touch, drag or Tab to comes to the front (saved, so it follows you to every device). The stack button on a card brings it to the front, or sends it to the back when it is already in front; with a card focused, Page Up and Page Down do the same, and Tab walks through every card, so a covered card is always reachable. Cards without a place (older jots, new ones) are put in a tidy grid. Groups show on the board as a label on each card, with filter chips above the board to show one group. When you have groups, a folder button on each jot opens a small Move to choice (Loose or a group), for when dragging is awkward on a phone. Once you have invited someone (Settings → People), a small Shared with wall appears above your jots: drag a jot onto it, or press the little person button on the jot and it moves there. They see it in their portal, and both of you can edit it, take it back to your own wall (drag it down, or the back arrow) or leave it. In the Windows app you can also drag a shared note out of the window onto the desktop, as with your own jots: it sticks there as a card (a copy; it does not follow later edits). The wall updates by itself every few seconds while the Jot view is open; if you both edit the same note, the last save wins. Drag a jot to rearrange the wall; on a phone, press and hold a note until it lifts, then drag it (a quick swipe still scrolls). To sort notes, press + Group at the top and name it ("Stripe", "Ideas"): groups show as sections under your loose notes. Drag a note onto a group's heading to put it first in that group, before or after a note in a group to put it there, or back among the loose notes to take it out. The arrow folds a group away (a folded group still takes notes dropped on its heading), and the bin removes the group and puts its notes back on the wall (undoable). The order and the groups are saved with your account, so they are the same on every device and in the apps. In the Windows app a jot can be pinned to the desktop as a paper note you drag wherever you want, or you can drag it straight out of the Tryck window and it sticks where you let go (it rips off the wall with a paper sound as you pick it up). A note on the desktop has a "Jot more…" line at the bottom: type there (Enter makes a new line), then press Ctrl+Enter or click the folded corner to make a new jot without opening Tryck. Click the red pushpin on a pinned note to take it off the desktop (the jot stays on the wall). A note makes a post-it flip sound when it lands, a different one each time. Jot opens from the sticky-note button in the title bar (next to the always-on-top pin) instead of the left bar.
Waiting on: everything that waits on someone else, with follow-up days.
Switching tabs: Settings → When switching tabs. Keep where I was (the default) scrolls a tab, list or page back to where you left it when you return; Start fresh opens each at the top. It is the same on every tab.
Opening screen: while Tryck loads it shows what the word means (Swedish: pressure; also, to press) and one short tip, a different one each time.
Back and forward: the mouse's side buttons (M4/M5) or Alt+←/Alt+→ walk your trail through views; Back first closes whatever is open on top. The phone's Back button does the same, all the way: it closes menus and open tasks first, then steps back through the pages you visited, and only leaves Tryck from the first page. Tryck is an app, not a web page, so pinching does not zoom the whole screen (maps and drawings zoom themselves).
Habits
One full-width row per habit (all in the accent colour; a habit's own colour only shows in its panel), and the panel opens on the right only when you pick a habit; each one of four types (changed any time in the habit's settings → Type):
Check off: done or not each day. Streaks count scheduled days only, so a weekdays-only habit survives the weekend.
Track an amount: a goal, a unit and quick-add buttons (Water 2000 ml, Steps). The tile's + adds the first preset; the panel has a slider and custom amounts.
Just log it: an amount with no goal and no streak (Caffeine, Alcohol). Tap when you have some; Tryck keeps the time of each tap, which the Aim page uses.
Quit something: lives in its own Quitting section under your habits, with its own “Something to quit” button (or pick it as the type on any habit). It is backwards — tap it when you slip, and the streak counts days without. The tile says "Day N without", slip marks are red (never the habit's colour), and stats show your best run and slips this month. A slip tapped on a past day in the month view starts the count from there — useful when you quit before you made the habit.
Sub-habits: a habit can sit inside another ("Fill the water bottle" under Water), with its own checks and streak.
Ticks itself: a habit can link to a list, so completing any task there ticks it (Workout ← "Workouts & Health"). Steps fills itself from your phone; Aim training fills from practice.
Reminders go off while Tryck is open, on days the habit applies, until it's done for the day.
The month view in a habit's panel ticks or unticks any past day.
Phones, apps and reminders
Settings → This device shows the Tryck you're running and the app for the device you're on: Install, "up to date ✓" or Update. The Windows and Android apps update themselves from that button. Pressing Install or Download answers at once: the button greys out and says "Starting download…" until the file starts.
Settings is short on purpose: This device, Notifications, Display and day, Add-ons (the switches), then folded sections you open when you need them: Add-on options (receipt link, timer notification, sharing the shopping list), People, Missed-task fees, Admin (only for whoever runs the server) and Access key for other tools. Account and data (sign out, TickTick import) is last.
Tryck for Windows lives in the tray, starts with Windows, and shows reminders as small cards on the desktop that you drag anywhere and pin. Ctrl+Alt+N adds a task from any program. Timer and jot cards work the same way. Drag any task out of the Tryck window (from a list, the matrix, the calendar or a block in the plan; a subtask too) and it stays on the desktop as a card where you drop it, with a soft pop, so you do not forget it. Ctrl+Z takes the card back, and the card follows your mouse as far as you pull it, onto any screen, and appears with only a soft pop; Complete on the card, or completing the task anywhere, takes it down. Post-it look (Settings → Notifications): reminder cards become paper sticky notes — tinted by the task's colour, each hanging at its own slight angle; the timer card stays a card. Jot notes are always paper, with or without the setting. While a full-screen game or video is in front, desktop cards step aside completely (hidden and not clickable, since they could not be seen over it) and come back when it closes.
Tryck for Android is Tryck as a phone app with health sync and receipt reminders built in. Connect a phone with no typing: on the phone, Settings → Apps → Connect this phone; on the PC, Show QR code, and scan it. A phone without the app yet is sent to the download first; open the app after installing and sign in with your password. Once connected, Settings → Apps shows a Set up this phone checklist with a tick for each thing only you can allow (notifications, health access, receipt reminders, and the optional timer lock), each with its own button; the ticks come from what the app reports, so they are real. Reminders come from the app on its own Reminders channel (sound and a banner — adjust it under Android's notification settings for Tryck), and tapping one opens Tryck at that task or habit.
Tryck as an installed web app (Chrome or Edge: Install; iPhone: Share → Add to Home Screen) is one app for everything. Press and hold its icon for New task, Snap receipt, Shopping, Pantry and Setbook. The Receipt page and the family portal keep their own installs, because the people using them have a link, not a Tryck sign-in. An older Pantry, Shopping or Setbook install you made earlier keeps working as it is.
Two addresses. Tryck answers at tryck.app and at the older workers.dev address, and both stay working. Each address has its own sign-in and its own notification subscription in a browser, so sign in again once on the one you start using. A phone connected from tryck.app (Settings → Apps → Connect this phone) saves tryck.app; phones already connected keep the old address until you connect them again. The Claude connector is added per address: to move it, remove the Tryck connector on claude.ai and add it again with https://tryck.app/mcp.
Notifications: turn them on per device in Settings → Notifications. Also sent to lists every other browser or app still receiving them — remove old entries if things arrive twice. Reminders carry Done, +amount and Snooze buttons; tapping one opens the task.
Do not disturb: the moon button at the bottom of the sidebar quiets reminders — for an hour, for three, until tomorrow, or until you turn it off. Cards and chimes wait (the button counts what's waiting) and show the moment it ends, at their original time. It applies to the device you set it on; notifications pushed to your other devices still arrive there.
Offline: typing while the connection is down is queued and sent when it's back.
Apps and platforms: what works where
Tryck is one app on every device: the same pages, the same account, one version number (Settings → Apps shows it). The Windows and Android apps are Tryck in their own window plus a few things only a device can do. There is no iPhone app; on an iPhone, open Tryck in Safari and use Share → Add to Home Screen, and it behaves like an installed app (reminders only arrive once it is added to the Home Screen).

Settings → This device → Update
Setting up the Android app (4.1). Install it from Settings → Apps (or the QR code) and open it: the welcome screen asks for your Tryck password and signs the app in, health sync, receipts and Tryck itself, with no browser and no key to copy (the address is filled in; Not on …? changes it). Under Advanced are Paste connect link (for a link from Connect this phone) and the receipt-reminders-only mode; the address and automation key are at the bottom of the app's own settings. None of this is shown again when the app updates. Phones on an older app version stay connected as before and just show no checklist until they update.
Two addresses reach the same Tryck: tryck.app and the older workers.dev one. Each remembers its own sign-in. The Receipt page and the family portal can also be installed on their own, because the people using them have a link rather than a Tryck account.
People
Settings → People invites the people you live with. Each gets their own sign-in (never yours) and a page at /portal ("Tryck Home" on a phone): the chores that are theirs, the tasks you gave them, and a way to ask you for things (lands in your Inbox marked "from <name>"). At the bottom they also get Shared notes: the small wall of post-its you share from the Jot view. They can write new notes, edit any of them or take one off, and changes show up on both sides within a few seconds.
Assign a task from its panel's Assigned field, its right-click menu, or by dragging it onto a person in the side menu. It moves out of your Today and under their name.
You can pause someone, make a new-password link, or remove them; what was theirs comes back to you.
Time (add-on)
One timer and a timesheet. Type what you're working on, pick a project, Start. Only one timer runs at a time, and it lives on the server, so every device shows it.
From a task: the blue Start task button in a task's panel, the small play button on a task row (PC), or the Work-on list beside the timer. The entry takes the task's title.
From a step: each undone checklist step in the open task has its own play button (hover on PC; also in the step's right-click menu). It runs the parent task's timer named after the step, so the timesheet and the phone's card say which step you're on; starting another step moves the timer there, and the running step's button stops it.
Pause keeps the clock to carry on with: Resume counts on from where it stood; Done lets it go. The phone's timer card and the Windows tray and desktop card have the same buttons.
Projects have a colour, an optional hourly rate, and can follow a Tryck list. The page shows the week or month: totals, per-project time and money, a stacked bar per day, and CSV export.
Add time logs something after the fact; click any entry to fix it.
Finished Focus sessions land in the timesheet too.
Chores (add-on)
The home drawn as a floor plan, at /chores and in the side menu. Rooms are made of squares (any shape), furniture is dragged in, and everything has chores.
Two kinds: cleaning (colours the plan: it stays green for roughly the first 70% of the time between cleans, then turns to full red by the day it is due). A chore nobody has done yet starts halfway through the green (75 on the 0–100 scale; it used to start at yellow, 50) and goes yellow as it comes due; once someone ticks it, it follows the normal curve and tidying (a timer per room: "Tidy in 5 h", "Tidy now", "2 h over"). "Tick everything" does a whole room in one tap, undoable as one.
Machines (washer, dryer, dishwasher…): a washer, a dryer or a dishwasher (a piece of those kinds, or one named that) can be started at once with its usual time (2 h, 1 h 30 min, 2 h 30 min), with no setup. On the plan, a tap on one that is not running starts it the way you last started it here (or with its usual time), and the message that says so has an Undo; starting one plays a short rising two-note chirp and then a quiet sound that fits the machine (bubbling for a washer, a warm blower for a dryer, a bubbling fill for a dishwasher; made on the spot, only on the device that started it) and the piece shakes and sends out a ring; a running machine keeps a pulsing outline, rings and a striped progress bar along its bottom edge (all of it follows Settings → Motion: Calm only fades, Off is still and silent). Right-click a machine (or press and hold) for its own menu: Start, or Cancel and "finished early" while it runs, and Settings. A tap on a running machine or a press in the Furniture list shows its sheet, where you pick a program (Quick, Eco…) or type minutes by hand for this run. A running machine's sheet counts down, shows its program and who started it, and has It finished early (the to-do appears now) and Cancel; the room's label counts down too, and the moment it finishes a to-do appears for whoever started it. "Add a machine timer" still sets a different usual time and to-do for one machine. Anyone in the home can start, finish or cancel one from their own page, and Claude can too (chores_machine, with a program or minutes). When it is done, Tryck tells whoever started it, on their phone too; members turn that on in their page's menu.
Furniture (the tab between Plan and To do) lists every piece in the home, grouped by room, each drawn as on the plan with its number of chores and how clean it is. A room's chip shows just that room; pressing a piece opens it.
More kinds of furniture (Build → a room → Add furniture): doors and windows (set into a wall: the plan breaks the wall there; a door shows which way it swings), a couch, chairs and a gaming chair, drawers and cupboards, a nightstand, a mirror, a computer, cables, a standing AC, dog bowls, a dishwasher, microwave, freezer, dryer, air fryer, toaster, laundry bin, lamps, and a Roomba, handlebars, dumbbells, and a general Object for anything that is not furniture but still needs a chore. Each starts with a few suggested chores you can change.
Custom shapes: the couch starts as an L. Open any piece's sheet to give it an L or a U, or to drag its corners (press a side to add a corner, Remove corner to take one away, Mirror to flip it, Make it a rectangle to go back). The shape follows the piece when you turn or resize it.
Maintenance is a third kind of chore (re-potting, changing a filter, emptying the AC's tank): it has a pace and shows when it is late, but it does not colour the plan or run the tidy timer.
Lamps keep what bulbs are in them (type and how many). "Change the bulb" is a maintenance chore; its last tick is when the bulbs were last changed.
To do lists what needs doing first, filtered by person; chores can be given to anyone in the home.
On a PC: right-click a room on the plan for its quick actions (open it, mark its cleaning done, tick everything, edit it); drag the plan around with the middle mouse button.
Declutter, and one chore for every room: new rooms of every kind except the kitchen start with a tidying chore Declutter (weekly). Menu (…) → A chore for every room… writes one chore once (Declutter is filled in) and adds it to each room you leave ticked; a room that already has it keeps its own. When several rooms have a chore of the same name, its sheet shows Applies to: This room | All N rooms: choosing All makes every room's copy the same as this one at once, and from then on a change of name, kind, pace or who, and Delete, goes to every room's copy. Chores on furniture are never touched by this.
Layers (press a layer's name to see only that layer, and its name again to bring the others back; in Build, drag a piece onto the Main 1, Main 2 or Main 3 row to put it on that layer without moving it, and Undo takes it back): a panel floats at the top right of the plan (drag it by its title; fold it with −, close it with ×; the Layers chip in Build or the … menu brings it back; on a phone it starts folded). Each layer has a small white 3D picture standing on an orange slab (the layer itself): a handful of small things (books, a mug, boxes) for items, a solid box with a dotted white outline of a smaller box above it for Main 2 (both lift together), the reverse for Main 3 (dotted box below, a solid orange-topped one above), a table for Main 1, a free-standing door (no frame), a rug (the number beside the name is how many pieces lie there; a dashed, faded picture is hidden, a padlock means locked). The top part of each picture (the little boxes, top box, table top, door, rug) lifts a little when you point at the row or select a piece on that layer; with Motion Off it does not move, and Calm makes it slower. It lists the stack top first: Items, Main 3, Main 2, Main 1, Doors and windows and Floor, with how many pieces are on each. The eye hides a layer (hide Main 1 to see the rug under the furniture); the lock stops it being pressed or dragged. Every ordinary piece is on a main layer, 1 to 3, so things can be stacked: a piece you add, copy or drop onto another goes one layer above it. Select a piece and the panel marks its layer and has Up a layer and Down (its sheet has a Layer choice too). Items lie on their piece, from its corner. The panel's place and what is hidden or locked are kept on this device only; each piece's layer is part of the map, and a map without layers means every piece is on Main 1.
Items for each kind of furniture: open a piece and "On or in this piece" suggests items that fit it (a desk: monitor, keyboard, mouse, mousepad, desk mat, wrist rest, ring light, stream deck, microphone, headset, speakers, webcam, laptop, printer; a counter: coffee machine, kettle, dish rack…; a bed: duvet, mattress, pillows…; a window: curtains, windowsill, blinds). The box above them searches all of them by name or by chore. Every item comes with its own cleaning chores.
Right-click on the plan, and stacked pieces: right-click a piece for Open, Add something on or in it… (a curtain on a window, things on a desk) and Copy. The menu also lists every other piece lying under that spot, rugs, items and the pieces on top of each other, so you can select or open the one you mean even when it is covered; items are always opened rather than selected. Right-click a room for Add furniture. In a piece's sheet, On or in this piece lists and adds its items.
Panning the plan (plan and Build, any zoom, also with a piece selected): hold the middle mouse button and drag to move the view like a canvas, or hold Space and drag with the left button. You can pan past the plan's edges even when all of it is in view (half a screen each way). Nothing is selected or opened when you let go. Touch (two fingers) and trackpad scrolling work as before.
Adding furniture faster: the Add furniture list has a search box at the top (type part of a name or of a suggested chore; Enter presses the only piece left). Right-click a room, or a piece in it, on the plan for a menu that now includes Add furniture for that room.
Searching the furniture (Furniture tab): the box at the top filters the list as you type. Every word you type has to match a piece's name, its kind, its room, the piece it sits on or one of its chores ("living plant" finds the plants in the living room). Clearing the box shows everything again; the room chips still narrow it.
Rugs, and things on or in furniture: Rug and Carpet lie on the floor under the furniture (the furniture can stand on them), each with chores to vacuum and wash it. Open a piece (for example a desk or a window) and its sheet has On or in this piece: add Curtains, a Windowsill, On top, Inside, or anything you name (a monitor, a coffee machine). Each item has its own chores and is listed in that sheet; open it from there. An item sits on its piece's rectangle, so it moves, turns and is copied with the piece, and is removed with it. Take it off (in the item's sheet) makes it an ordinary piece again. On the plan, items are hidden by default; in Build the Items chip shows them small on their piece instead.
Floor types: each room can have a floor: hardwood, parquet, laminate, vinyl, linoleum, tile, kitchen tile, bathroom tile, stone, concrete, short-pile carpet, shag carpet, cork or balcony decking. In Build, select a room and press Floor (or open the room and press Floor: …) to pick the floor of the whole room. For single areas, press Paint floors (or Paint single squares… in the Floor sheet), pick a floor in the strip, and drag a rectangle across squares, over any rooms; a tap does one square, Room's own takes squares back. Each floor is drawn as a pattern under the furniture (the Floor layer's eye hides it), and its cleaning chores (sweep, mop, scrub the grout, oil or re-seal, deep-clean) are added to the room; change the floor and they are swapped, never doubled. A room with two floors has the chores of both. Painting, choosing a floor, renaming a room or piece and changing a piece's kind can be taken back with Undo (the toast, the Undo chip, or Ctrl+Z in Build); deleting a room or a piece also has an Undo in its message, which puts the home back as it was (what you ticked meanwhile stays ticked).
Look over the chores before a piece is placed (Build → a room → Add furniture): with "With its suggested chores" on, pressing a piece first shows the chores that come with it. Untick one to leave it out, rename it or change how often, then press Place it; Back returns to the list without adding anything. Under the list, Add another chore takes a name, a kind and a pace and puts it in the list ticked (a name typed but not added is taken too when you press Place it). A chore the room already has under the same name is taken over by the piece, as before.
Building the plan (Build): drag furniture, a room or a wall handle with a mouse, a finger or a pen, the same way. Rotate turns a piece a quarter turn and its icon with it, a square piece too (it is remembered as how far it is turned). Copy (the two-sheets button, or Ctrl+D) puts a copy of the selected piece beside it: same kind, size, turn, shape and chores, but none of the original's history, so every chore of the copy starts as new. A finished one-off chore is not copied, and a machine that is running is copied as stopped. Undo in Build takes the copy away again. Clear… (under the banner in Build) clears the selected room's furniture, all the furniture, or everything (one empty room is left), after asking and showing how many pieces and chores go; Undo right after puts it back exactly, and the home as it was is kept under Settings → Go back to an earlier day as "Before a clear" (the newest six). Undo in Build (the first chip, or Ctrl+Z) takes back the last change made by building: a piece moved, turned or resized, a room moved, made bigger or smaller, or added. It belongs to Build alone: it never touches ticks, the To do tab or anything outside Build. Select a room and press Zoom to pull up just that room, drawn large for fine work (the + and − buttons zoom further); Whole home brings the plan back. If a drag ever gets stuck, press anywhere else and it lets go. Tap a room and every wall gets an orange arrow: drag it to make the room longer or shorter (with a mouse you can drag the wall itself too). While you hold a piece, a room or a wall, a tag beside the pointer names it. The dashed + just outside a wall adds a room there: type a name and press Add the room, or pick a kind of room to get its suggested chores.
"Needs doing" flags a chore now; "Did it earlier" (the quiet outlined button on a row in To do) ticks a past day. The home is backed up daily for 14 days.
Never ticked: the count at the top of the page and the "Never ticked" section in To do count the same chores, timed tidying chores included.
Your map is safe through updates. When Tryck changes how a map is stored, the first change you make afterwards keeps your previous map first, and the page says so with an Undo (owner) that puts it back exactly. Those copies are listed under Settings → Go back to an earlier day as "Previous map, before it was updated" and are kept long after the 14 days, up to the newest six. What you drew is never rewritten or dropped to make room for something new.
Pantry (add-on)
What food is at home and what to use first, at /pantry and in the side menu. English and Swedish.
Things come in by scanning a grocery receipt (read by Claude for a few öre), by barcode, from the receipt inbox automatically, or by typing. Non-food is unticked for you at review.
Dates are estimates from the kind of food — marked "est." — unless you type the pack's date, which also teaches the pantry how long that product keeps for you. It never says food is safe: check the pack, and never eat anything past its use-by date.
The kitchen view is your own fridge, freezer and cupboards with named shelves; drag things onto them. The freezer all but stops the clock; taking something out starts thawing with a ready-day.
The weekly look-over asks "Still have these?" about things that are probably gone, so the pantry stays honest without ticking off every meal.
Running out puts the thing on the shopping list — the Shopping add-on's when that is on, otherwise the Tryck list named in the pantry's settings; buying it again brings it back.
Shopping (add-on)
One shared household list at /shopping, phone-first, with prices in SEK.
Items arrive from the pantry running out, by typing (with autocomplete), by barcode, or with "Add to shopping list" in a task's menu. One Tryck task, "Shopping (n items)", stands for the whole trip.
Prices are learned from your receipt history (Open Prices as a last resort), and a price you type on an item or at the shelf is remembered too. The list shows a cheapest–priciest range across chains; starting a trip picks the store and snaps estimates to it.
The item card: tap an item's name (or its price) and a card opens with every field: name, how many, price, category, best before, note and store, plus a read-only About block (when it was added, in the cart or not, where its price comes from, the known product and its barcode). A Not filled in line lists what is empty; tap one to jump to it. Category and best-before show under the name in the list, which stays one line per item.
Groups: type a group (Dairy, Hardware…) in an item's card and the list gets a heading for it; items with no group sit first under "Ungrouped". Existing categories are now groups.
Watch for sales is a permanent group at the bottom for things to look out for. Swipe an item to the right (or use "Watch for sales" in its card) to move it there, and swipe it to the right again to bring it back to the list. Watched items stay out of the totals and the trip count; ticking one puts it straight in the cart. You can also add to it directly with the box under the group.
Swipe to remove: swipe an item left to remove it; an Undo bar appears for a few seconds. Tapping the box still moves an item to the cart as usual, and the Remove button in the card still works. Swiping works with a mouse drag too.
Scan barcode opens the camera: hold a package's barcode steady and the product is added by name, one item per scan (hold up the empty carton instead of typing it). Unknown products and stores' own codes (deli, produce) can't be added; type those. The button only appears in browsers that can read barcodes, such as Chrome on Android.
Crossing off moves an item to the cart at its estimate; tap to correct to the shelf price if you care. Finishing the trip archives it and clears the cart; when the receipt is scanned, the trip shows estimated against actual.
Share it with the people you've invited (Settings → Add-on options → Shopping); they get a Shopping tab in their portal. It all works with no signal and catches up when the connection is back.
Ledger (add-on)
One add-on, one page. Switch Ledger on in Settings → Add-ons and the side menu gets one item, Ledger (also at /ledger). It has two tabs: Month, where you work (expenses, bills, budgets, debt, import), and Overview, the old Household page: what this month cost and what your partner paid, bills overdue or due soon, debt and the debt-free month, budget bars (green on track, amber ahead of pace, red over), Spending by category (this month, last month, three-month average), Bills this month and earlier months. Everything on Overview is read from Tryck's own ledger and updates when you open it. To change a budget, use Edit budgets in Month. This used to be two add-ons' worth of menu (Household and Ledger) behind one switch; an older link or bookmark to the Household page opens Ledger, and the switch you already had on stays on. Anything that still calls the switch household keeps working: the two names are one setting.
The Month tab
Your expenses, bills and money in, kept in Tryck itself. It is for you only: nobody you have invited to your home, no phone app and no automation can open it.
Personal and Business are separate books with their own budget, currency and bills. Use the month arrows to move around. The page looks like the rest of Tryck: Personal uses Tryck’s orange-red accent and Business switches the accent to blue, so you can tell the books apart at a glance, in light and dark.
The ⋯ menu at the top holds the less-used actions; it closes when you click anywhere outside it or press Escape.
Tiles: spent this month (with what each of you paid), budget left (or the tax-deductible total for Business), bills paid so far, and what is overdue or due next.
Bills repeat monthly, every 3 months, yearly or once. Mark paid records the expense; Undo takes it back. A bill is also counted as paid when a bank payment containing its "bank text" shows up around the due date.
Expenses and Money in: type amounts like 249,90. Click a row to edit it. Deleting never destroys anything: the row is only hidden, the toast has Undo, and every change is kept in a log.
Settings holds the monthly budget, the currency and, for Personal, the name of the person who also pays and the bank text of their transfers to you.
Export: the full backup (JSON) and a CSV for expenses, money in or bills. Make a backup before importing anything.
Amounts are kept as whole öre, never as decimals, so totals add up to the öre. Two devices changing the same row at once cannot overwrite each other: the second one is told to reload.
Budgets: a monthly limit per category (one per category). The bar shows what is spent, the thin line where you would be if you spent evenly through the month, and the words say On track, Ahead of pace or Over budget, with what is left and about how much per remaining day. The grey line lists the three months before, and the chips suggest a limit (the recent average, rounded up to the next 50 kr). New budget can also limit an item type (for example Snacks & sweets) or a tag you put on receipt lines; those count the lines of your receipts, month by month, and say "No receipt items yet" until some are booked.
Debt:Pay first lists unpaid bills up to 150 days overdue and collection bills due within 60 days, each with Mark paid. Add loans and cards with balance, yearly interest, monthly payment and the bank text of the payments (so the last 12 months of payments are found). The payoff plan pays every loan its monthly amount and sends your extra amount, plus the payment freed when a loan is cleared, to one loan at a time: highest interest first or smallest balance first. It shows the debt-free month; loans whose payment only covers the interest are left out. It is a calculator, not advice.
Split (Personal only): what you paid and what your partner paid by category, six months back, and the transfers from them (found by the bank text in Settings).
Receipts from the phone: in Settings turn on Book receipts and bills sent from the phone (it starts off, so the ledger never competes with another ledger that still imports them). Then, once a minute, one waiting receipt from the receipt inbox is read once and becomes an expense called by the shop: the lines are saved with their prices, item types and quantity, the photo is kept, and the inbox shows it as imported. A receipt you paid with your card that the bank import already brought in (same amount within 1 kr, within 3 days, nothing attached yet) gets the photo and lines instead of a second expense. Receipts marked as paid by your partner stay theirs; in Business they are tax-deductible. Without an Anthropic key, for a PDF or when a reading fails, the receipt is still booked with its photo and the tag Add amount, so you type the amount. A bill (kind Bill) fills the matching bill in the ledger with the amount, bankgiro/plusgiro/OCR and the file, or becomes a one-time bill; its reminder text goes into the Tryck task (see Bill reminders). The same lines are handed to the Pantry once, and the Pantry stops reading those receipts itself while this is on.
Scan from the Ledger tab:Scan receipt (at the top and in Expenses) and Scan bill (in Bills) send a photo to the same receipt inbox the phone uses, so there is one reader and nothing is booked twice. On Android with the Tryck app, Scan receipt opens the app's scanner. Anywhere else it opens a dialog: pick Personal or Business and, for a receipt, who paid, then use the camera (it outlines the paper and takes the photo when it is all in frame and still; this needs a secure address and your permission) or choose a photo or PDF (up to 1.5 MB; photos are straightened and shrunk first). After Send to the ledger it says it appears within a minute; Read now reads it at once and shows the new expense and its lines. A line under the header tells how many receipts are waiting, with a Read now button for the two oldest (no automatic refreshing: it updates when you open the page, change month or send something). Needs the phone-inbox switch above to be on, and without an Anthropic key the receipt is still booked with Add amount. Only you, signed in to Tryck itself, can scan from here.
An expense's receipt: open an expense to see its photo or PDF (up to 1.5 MB, attach or remove one yourself), and its lines. Change a line's item type or tags and tick Remember to do the same for that product on later receipts. If the lines do not add up to the receipt total you see a yellow warning. Tag Receipt on a row means a file is attached. Photos open only when you are signed in; nothing is listed with its contents.
Bank import:Import bank file (top right, with a note such as Next import in 3 days; a week between imports is the rhythm). In the Handelsbanken internet bank export the account's transactions as Excel or CSV and choose the file. It is read on your own device and never uploaded: only the rows to import are sent. You get a preview by category (untick a category to leave it out), what is already in the ledger, what your rules leave out and anything that could not be read. An amount that is not a whole number of öre is left out and listed, never rounded. Rows have the same ids the old ledger gave them, so a file imported there and here never doubles, and the same file twice adds nothing. Money in goes to Money in. A card payment that already has a phone receipt takes over the photo and lines, and the phone entry goes. Before a real import the page asks you to Download backup first (a full backup made today); one import a minute; every row is audited and the import can be traced by its batch.
Import rules:Rules in the import panel. Which bank text becomes which category is data you edit, not part of the program: expense categories, money-in categories and texts to leave out. A rule is a word or pattern (coop|ica, ^swish), the first match wins, use the arrows to reorder and Test a bank text to see what would happen. A pattern that could run for ever, or is not valid, is refused. Only a few neutral starter rules come with Tryck (such as salary, interest, refund).
Subscriptions (button at the top): every recurring payment found in the last 14 months of both books plus your repeating bills, with how often, the usual amount, the cost per month, the last and next charge, a small chart of recent charges and a Keep / Cancel / Cancelled call you can change (a Cancel adds up what you would save). Below: fixed costs (rent, loans, utilities, insurance), debt and collection payments, and what has stopped. Worth a look lists a double charge, a price rise, a charge that is not named, a bill that never shows in the bank, and payments from the wrong or both accounts. Each of them is also a Tryck task (list Bills & Admin, section Worth a look, tag ledger); ticking the task or the box ticks both. Tasks the old ledger made are found again, not doubled. Opening the page makes the missing tasks (up to 30 at a time); nothing runs on its own in the background. Merchant names are data: in Rules (Import bank file) add Subscription merchant name rules (bank text, the name and whether it is a subscription, a fixed cost or a debt) and Catch-up payment rules; they apply to both books.
Bill reminders: a bill with Remind me on gets a Tryck task for each due date (from 60 days back to 35 ahead), due that day with phone reminders 3 days before and at 09:00. It ticks itself when you mark the bill paid or a bank import or a booked payment covers it. If you tick the task yourself (you paid some other way) or delete it, that due date counts as handled on the month page.
Six months: the chart has two ways to count: By month due (the default; a bill paid late or early counts in the month it was for, and catch-up payments such as old debts, collection and a card cleared at once are shown under the month instead of in the bar) and As paid (every payment in the month it left your account). Your choice is remembered on this device.
Moving from the old ledger (Settings → Advanced / history)
Tryck's own ledger is the source now. The two controls that helped the move are kept, folded away under Ledger → Settings → Advanced / history; nothing there needs touching.
Compare:Compare with the old ledger (in Advanced / history) lists every number where Tryck's own ledger differs from the old ledger's last snapshot: spent, paid by your partner, each budget's limit, spent and status, debt total, monthly payment, interest and debt-free month, open bills, and the earlier months' spending. Each difference shows its size, and is marked differs, edited after the snapshot when you changed something in Tryck after the snapshot was sent (such a difference is expected). It runs only when you press the button. Earlier months are compared on spending and category budgets; debt balances are kept as of today only.
The switch: Ledger → Settings → Tryck's own ledger is the source for the Overview and for Claude (in Advanced / history; you only; it asks you to confirm and is logged). Switched on (as it is now), the Overview and Claude's household_overview read Tryck's own numbers, household_sync answers that the ledger now lives in Tryck and stores nothing (the old ledger shows that message), the old snapshots are kept untouched. Untick it to go back; the old behaviour returns exactly as it was.
Claude:household_overview keeps its shape (amounts as kronor with two decimals); ledger_month gives one month in detail (amounts in öre, no notes). A second switch, Let Claude add expenses and mark bills paid (off by default), adds ledger_add_expense, ledger_mark_bill_paid and ledger_undo: they are checked like the page, send the same ext twice and nothing doubles, each row is marked as Claude's in the log, at most 30 a minute, and ledger_undo takes back only what Claude added in the last 24 hours and nobody changed since. The Ledger page's own Undo works too. The tool names did not change when Household and Ledger became one add-on. Claude remembers the tool list: after a deploy or after you flip the second switch, remove and re-add the Tryck connector in claude.ai so it sees the new tools.
Receipt inbox (add-on)
Phones send receipts (paid) and bills (to pay) as photos or PDFs through the receipt page — Settings → Add-on options → Receipts to share it. The live scanner crops and straightens paper receipts and says when one is cut off. With the Android app installed, the reminder's tap, the app's Snap receipt shortcut, Tryck's own Snap receipt button and the page's "Scan with the Tryck app" button all open Google's document scanner, straight into the inbox — and duly://scan opens it from any page of your own. The ledger pulls them in, books them, and files are deleted 30 days after import.
Moving a partner’s phone from the old Tryck Receipts app. Tryck for Android now has the same reminders built in, so the separate Receipts app is retired (its old download link keeps working for now). On the phone: install Tryck for Android from the receipt page’s “Download the app”, open it and tap Only the receipt reminders (no sign-in to your Tryck needed), then open your receipt link in Chrome and tap Connect the Android app; choose Tryck if Android asks which app. Set “Who pays” and the store list again in its settings, turn on notification access for Tryck, and only then uninstall Tryck Receipts — having both with notification access would remind twice.
Aim training (add-on)
The Windows app uploads every KovaaK's and Aim Lab run seconds after you finish it.
The Aim page shows minutes per day, every scenario with best and recent scores, and your Voltaic S5 rank with the score each next rank needs.
Routines and the schedule: build routines, import your playlists, or pick from the public library (Voltaic, VDIM, Fundamentals…). Scheduled sessions become tasks whose steps tick themselves as runs come in. Play opens the game through Steam, in the Windows app only. On a phone or in the browser you see the same data (runs, routines, the schedule, benchmark ranks, Play sessions and CS2 match reports) but nothing starts a game from there.
What goes with better aim: each run is scored against your own usual, then matched against sleep, heart rate, caffeine, alcohol, water, workouts and timing. Verdicts are correlations ("goes with", never "causes") and only shown when the data is there.
Play (add-on)
Profiles, one per ranked ladder (CS2 Premier and FACEIT are two), with rank history charts, your peak and a goal.
Sessions: Start session gives a live Won/Lost/Draw bar; ending one asks about your focus, mood and rank. The Windows app starts and ends sessions by itself when a game opens and closes.
Focus: one to three things to work on per game, suggested from your own patterns (with the numbers), common advice, or Claude — you pick.
CS2 match reports: map, score, K/D/A, ADR, every round and death, straight from the game's own feed.
Setbook (add-on)
The gym tracker, at /setbook and in the side menu: workouts, templates, a weekly plan, body weight, measurements and progress photos, all on Tryck's own server. It works offline at the gym and saves when you're back. Finishing a workout ticks the Workout habit; the coach (needs the API key from the Pantry's settings) answers questions for a few öre each. Backup, restore and Strong import live under Profile.
Phone health (add-on)
The Android app reads Health Connect hourly: steps to the Steps habit, plus sleep with stages, resting heart rate, HRV, workouts and weight into the health timeline — which is what the Aim page's comparisons are built on.
Claude and automation
The Tryck connector lets Claude on claude.ai read and change your Tryck: tasks, habits (quit habits speak in "slipped", never a misleading "done"), people, receipts, and every add-on that's on. If a tool seems missing there, disconnect and reconnect Tryck in claude.ai's settings.
The automation key (Settings) lets your own scripts use the REST API — adding tasks, starting timers, posting focus suggestions.
Settings and privacy
Public pages: tryck.app/home, /for-households and /how-it-fits-together (also in Swedish under /sv/), the comparison pages under /vs/ and /privacy describe Tryck to people who have not signed in (no account needed, no cookies, no tracking). /faq answers the common questions, shows the planned prices in SEK, EUR and USD (the currency follows your browser language, with buttons to switch; your choice is kept only in your own browser) and compares Tryck, with sources and the date checked, to Motion, Todoist, TickTick, Things 3 and Sunsama. Prices live in one file, server/public-src/prices.json, and are applied to the pages with node scripts/apply-prices.mjs. The home and households pages have a waitlist form (email, an optional line about what you would use Tryck for, and a consent box that is never pre-ticked); /privacy says what is kept, why and how to be removed, and has a form that erases an address. They are listed in tryck.app/sitemap.xml with this guide, so search engines and AI assistants can read what Tryck is.
Add-ons (Settings → Add-ons) turn every optional part on or off; an off add-on's page and connector tools disappear. Ledger is one switch for the whole money page (it was Household plus Ledger).
Missed-task fees (Settings → Missed-task fees): makes missed non-negotiables cost real money, through the Stripe account the server's admin has set up. Nobody pastes a Stripe key here: if the section says missed-task fees aren't set up on this server, they aren't available on it yet. Add the card on Stripe's own hosted page — Tryck never sees card numbers — and flip the switch. Once a day, each non-negotiable left undone past its day is charged its fee: only penalties written as money ("$1 to the jar", "20 kr", "€2"), at most $10 / €10 / 100 kr per miss and three charges a day, and never misses older than a week (turning it on never bills old history). The money lands in that Stripe account minus Stripe's fee — the fee and the line on your statement are the sting. Charges show on the jar's entries and in the section, a push tells you when one happens, and a two-tap "$1 test charge" proves the whole path. Penalties written as words ("50 pushups") stay honor-system.
Admin (Settings → Admin): only the person who runs the server sees this section; everyone else, including people who run their own copy of Tryck and the people you invite, never does, and the server refuses them. It holds settings for the whole server, for now the Stripe secret key for missed-task fees: paste it, and from then on the page only says that a key is set, whether it is a test or live key, and its last four characters. Forgetting the key also forgets the saved card and turns charging off. (For whoever runs the server: the section appears when the Worker has the secret TRYCK_ADMIN set to on.) On the server that runs tryck.app it also shows the Waitlist: how many people asked to be told at launch, and a Download CSV button (address, note, date, page, consent version, and each person's one-click removal link). Only the admin can read the list.
What gets used (Settings → This device): Tryck counts which buttons and views get tapped — names and numbers per day only. No task text, no who, no positions. The page shows a heat list and the controls that were on screen but never touched. That's the whole of Tryck's own telemetry; nothing leaves your server.
Late nights, sounds, heatmap, menu order and the rest live in Settings; most of them are described where their feature is, above.
