Photograph the receipt. The pantry fills itself.
Typing in what you bought is the part everyone skips. In Tryck you take one photo of the grocery receipt and the food is at home in the pantry a minute later.
What happens to one receipt
- Snap it. From the phone's Home Screen shortcut "Snap receipt", the Android app, the receipt page's live scanner, or the receipt link that someone else in your home can use without a Tryck sign-in. No signal in the shop? The photo waits on your device and goes up when you are back online.
- Claude reads it. An AI model reads the lines, prices and shop. Non-food items such as bags and cleaning products are unticked for you at review, and you can fix anything before it is saved.
- The pantry fills. Each food item gets an estimated date from the kind of food, marked "est." until you type the date on the pack. The freezer almost stops the clock.
- Prices improve. The shopping list learns what each item costs from your receipts, so next week's list shows a realistic range per chain.
- The ledger, if you want it. Booking receipts into the household ledger is an opt-in switch, off by default. The ledger stays private to you.
What it costs: reading a receipt costs a few öre. Tryck is in early access and the planned prices are on the FAQ.
Things worth knowing
- The only outside service that sees the receipt photo is Anthropic's Claude, which reads it.
- You always see what was read before it lands in the pantry.
- Barcodes and typing work too, for the things that have no receipt.
- There is no iPhone app. On an iPhone, Tryck works as a web app added to the Home Screen. Tryck is in early access and not open for sign-up yet.
